Smith is an emerging 2018 recruit that has broken out this fall. He throws a very catchable in the redzone, connecting on the back corner on multiple throws. He’s extremely good at locating his passes from short to intermediate. He’s got a really quick throwing motion, sometimes he does drops the ball down too low than we would like. He sees the field pretty well, showing a good bit of patience. As a runner he has a big athletic running stride. His frame suggest he can add another 20 lbs fairly easy. Deep ball could use some work, sometimes he hangs it up, but for the most part he drives his passes out on a line to the receiver. He shows a really nice touch on his passes at the same time. We think Div 1 schools will be interested in the big framed QB.
